Wednesday 1st April 2009 at 7pm The author of Twentieth century Mongolia - B. Batbayar B. Batbayar, better know as Baabar, is well known as an author, as founder of the Social Democratic Party - one of the first opposition parties to be formed - and also as a Finance Minister in the Mongolian Government. At first critical of socialism within a socialist framework, by the mid 1980's he had begun to question socialism itself. He continued his writing into the 1990's , often offering highly opinionated views of Mongolian society. He will offer a talk on a range of Mongolian subjects and answer your questions. Wednesday 25th March 2009 at 7pm Randolph Koppa, CEO of the Trade and Development Bank. His topic will be "Depression? Recession? Let's Call the Whole Thing Off" This will be a fascinating evening where you can learn about not just current Mongolian economics but also about the economic down turn in general. The lecture will last 30 minutes with a question and answer session afterwards. This lecture is intended to make the current world situation interesting and understandable for everyone. This is real chance to have your questions answered, you should not miss it.
