Dear all, This Wednesday we have a HALLOWEEN SPECIAL in Cafe Amsterdam. American Radigan Neuhalfen, regular visitor of our cafe and author of the novel "The Steppe", will read H.P Lovecraft Horror Stories. Howard Phillips Lovecraft (1890-1937) is the 20th century master of horror, fantasy and science fiction and the acknowledged heir to Edgar Allan Poe. With his stories, which blended gothic horror with science fiction, Lovecraft presented a view of the universe as something vast, where forces operate that are indifferent towards humanity, a view that has come to be known as "cosmic horror".
