The pictures are taken by Jeroen Nooter on a journey with Sara Nuytemans. They drove from Holland to Mongolia with a truck using only vegetable oil instead of diesel.
This is much more environmental-friendly; the emissions are less harmful and the substance is CO2-neutral: in the production of one liter of vegetable oil, plants absorb the same amount of CO2 that is emitted by the exhaust of a vehicle during combustion. The trip went through Germany, Poland, Ukraïne, Russia, Kazakhstan and was completed through the western border Tashanta-Tsaganuur into Mongolia. The Oldcargo-project is still running, we are now producing our own fuel at a field of rapeseed in Mongolia, west of Darkhan. |

About Us

On June 28 Ulaanbaatar saw a unique event as the "Queen of Amsterdam" opened a new coffee house this Saturday. Her presence is seen as great commitment in strengthening Mongolian-Dutch relations. The coffee house is set-up by three Dutchmen resident in Ulaanbaatar. Mongolia might originally be the country of suutei tsai, but people are being won over by the strong taste of fresh coffee. With the internationally recognized Illy brand the cafe aims to appeal to locals and international expats alike. It is the cafe's belief to support and offer the best quality training for the staff. |
